New Term, New Challenges
The new term has started off with excitement as we welcomed new clubs on board the good ship Cineclub, including new local networks in Croydon and Sutton.
Our memers started the academic year at a cinema event with a difference; the assistant editor of Empire Magazine came along to talk about inspirational Hollywood director Steven Spielberg and had the whole audience creating Jurassic Park dinosaur sound effects and singing the Jaws theme tune!
The rest of the autumn is looking busy for Cineclub with Black History Month Projects, Family Learning Projects and a documentary competition for Specialist Schools and Academiesall happening alongside after school filmmaking clubs.
Our members are all hard at work filmmaking now, getting their latest productions ready for screenings in the new year, when cinema audiences will be voting for their favourite films to go on the website.
So, watch this space and see what they come up with!
