PHSE & Citizenship Programme

A unique programme where teachers and pupils work together to develop their own news team that investigates serious issues that form debate in your school.

The Roving Reporter camera crew and presenter team delve deep into the school system as they uncover issues such as racism, bullying, crime and peer pressure. We also discover that pupils in the school know nothing about sexual health and the effects of drugs, alcohol and tobacco. Something has to be done and the Roving Reporter feels it is their right to let people know ‘The Truth’!

The Roving Reporter fully engages teachers and pupils in active citizenship and enables them to confront sensitive issues in a fun, creative and exciting way. Through setting up scenarios through group discussion we plan our mock investigation assigning actors to play the roles of presenters, anchormen, victims, perpetrators and other characters that help to tell the story. The crew plan out the shooting schedule and the camera shots. Then you can screen The Roving Reporter to the school.
