The Cineclub Network is designed to link up all our schools together to share their films and their experiences of filmmaking and film watching. The links above are the programmes we can offer schools to enable the network to exist. Your school can select from a range of one term or two term programmes (London only), a joint teacher and Cineclub facilitator led programme (Home Counties or London only), or a pure teacher-driven inset led programme for our regional development strategy.

Why a network?Sustainability We want to enable schools to make more than one film! In fact we want them to be really good at filmmaking so they can use it as a curriculum enrichment tool and as a pure form of expression.

Peer mentoring We believe that filmmaking can bring the national curriculum alive! By training teachers in the filmmaking process and by encouraging talented young filmmakers in school to share good practise with other pupils we shall see schools using film as an integral part of the school day forever (and ever amen!)

Film appreciation We are getting more and more children into independent cinemas to appreciate contemporary, classic and cult film.

Key Skills Development We believe that film enables young people to be better communicators, team workers, problems solvers and risk takers, so why make just one film, let’s make hundreds of films!

Revolution! There is a revolution of digital filmmaking out there! By developing a network we are enabling our filmmakers to have a voice and we are giving them a platform to celebrate and develop their work together! It’s like an independent studio system!

Revive the British Film Industry! If we are enabling thousands of children to tell stories through digital filmmaking, are we not breathing life back into the British film industry from grass roots level? We are sick of hearing there is no industry here. We need to build it from the ground up, then we shall see a revolution in independent British film production.
